“Family Friday” Closes Out The Week of the Young Child

To finish off our week-long celebration of The Week of the Young Child, we had families join us for a story at our Nature Classroom, and help plant flower seeds for the children to tend to until they are mature enough to transplant to our garden boxes in the Nature Classroom.

Week of the Young Child – Work Together Wednesday

During the Week of the Young Child, on “Work Together Wednesday”, our 4s put together an obstacle course in our gym and then demonstrated for the 2s and 3s how to navigate it, and even assisted them in making their way through.

Visit With a Nutritionist

In celebration of the Week of the Young Child, today we had a visit with nutritionist, Amy Palmer, who taught the children about healthy foods and nutrition.

Visit With Sheep Farmer

We had a wonderful visit with Pete and Carol Sepe from Sepe Farm, located in Sandy Hook, CT. They came and with a sheep and two lambs and did a wool shearing demonstration for the children. For more information about Sepe Farm, visit www.sepefarm.com.
