At First Church Preschool, we believe that, “Caring Communities Are Intentionally Built”. One way we build our caring community is by endeavoring to maintain open communications with our families. We know that establishing effective communications takes effort and commitment. We also know that both families and teachers often struggle with how to approach airing questions and concerns. Often, the foundation for open communications between families and teachers is laid during the early days of the new school year. This article offers some very helpful insights for how to move beyond the obstacles that may dull the lines of communication and get us all off to a strong, most caring start.
